Buy a girl a drink
So I'm talking to this hot brunette for about an hour while her friends are dancing. I'm learning a lot about what it's like to grow up in Utah, the railway company that runs everything in the dinky little town she grew up in, and about her job as a substitute teacher.
I had just bought her a second apple martini when she decides to tell me she has a boyfriend.
Now I've dealt with rejection before, that's not new to me. This wasn't even a decent rejection. It was an afterthought as if she didn't even realize I was hitting on her.
What gets me is the dishonesty, I mean if I had any idea she had a boyfriend I wouldn't have wasted $14 on buying her drinks. I wanted to meet a single girl, she wanted free drinks.
I guess I lost this round.
